Allocation of $UMI Tokens and Token supply
The $UMI token serves as the backbone of the Umiverse economy and is at the core of all interactions between players and the Umiverse platform.
In order to fulfill its purpose, different parts of Umiverse need to be allocated with tokens to run and function properly. Tokens are allocated as follows:
Token sales:
* All tokens allocated for direct sales to investors and early contributors
* Allocation: 20% of total token supply (40,000,000 $UMI)
* Vesting: 7.5% released at TGE, 6 month cliff, then linear vesting over 18 months
Core contributors:
* Tokens allocated for team members, development resources, advisors, etc.
* Allocation: 25% of the total token supply (50,000,000 $UMI)
* Vesting: 6 month cliff, then linear vesting over 24 months
Community rewards:
* Tokens allocated for community distributions, such as token distributions for dive points or other game-related activities that grant token rewards for users
* Allocation: 30% of the total token supply (60,000,000 $UMI)
* Vesting: 25% released at TGE, then linear vesting over 50 months

Protocol growth
* All tokens allocated for marketing, brand awareness, partnerships and growth incentives
* Allocation: 22% of the total token supply (44,000,000 $UMI)
* Vesting: 10% released at TGE, 3 month cliff, then linear vesting over 48 months
Liquidity
* Tokens reserved for posting liquidity on exchanges (both CEX and DEX)
* Allocation: 3% of the total token supply (6,000,000 $UMI)
* Vesting: 100% released at TGE
